Address Disclosure

  • The address that you just confirmed/provided will be updated in our system as well as American Express, but may take up to 7 business days to take effect.

SIF Disclosure

Card-Member script: If you intend to apply for a new American Express card, Please allow 35days from the date your final payment has been received before submitting an application.

Attorney script: If your Client intends to apply for a new American Express card, Please allow 35days from the date your final payment has been received before submitting an application.

Foreign Address Script

Unfortunately since you have provided a non – US address, Nationwide Credit, Inc. will not be able to service the account. American Express requires Nationwide Credit, Inc. to close and return any account with an address outside of the US.

ACH Disclosure

Scripts for One-Time or Initial Payment

Payment to be Debited on the same date as the call

The following scripts must be used when setting up a one-time or initial payment to be debited on the same date as the call

Collector: Please confirm that you are an authorized user on the account. (Wait for response). May I have the routing and account numbers please? (wait for response. Consumer must provide the full routing number and account number). Today (provide today’s date), you are authorizing Nationwide Credit, Inc. to originate a one-time ACH debit from your bank account in the amount of $___. This ACH debit will be processed for payment today. I will place you on a brief hold for a secondary verification. Do you have any questions before I place you hold?

Payment to Be Debited on a Future Date

The following scripts must be used when setting up a one-time or initial payment to be debited on a future date (not the same date as the call)

Collector: Please confirm that you are an authorized user on the account. (Wait for response). May I have the routing and account numbers please? (Wait for response. Consumer must provide the full routing number and account number). Today (provide today’s date), you are authorizing Nationwide Credit, Inc. to originate a one-time ACH debit from your bank account in the amount of $___. This ACH debit will be processed for payment on (scheduled payment date). I will place you on a brief hold for a secondary verification. Do you have any questions before I transfer the call? (wait for response).

Manager: Hello, this is [full name]. I will verify the payment information you agreed to with [collector’s first name and last name]. You are an authorized user on the account, correct? (Wait for response) And the routing number you provided is XXXXXXXXX? (Wait for response) And your account number is XXXXXXXXX (wait for response)? Your authorization will be used to originate a one-time ACH debit in the amount of $___ on (scheduled payment date). Is that correct? (Wait for response). You may revoke this authorization by calling us before 9AM EST on (scheduled payment date). Is there anything else I can help you with? If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-XXX-XXXX from (hours of operation).

Scripts for Recurring Payments

First Payment to be made same date as call with Recurring Payments

The following scripts must be used when setting up recurring payments
Collector: Please confirm that you are an authorized user on the account. (Wait for response). May I have the routing and account numbers please? (Wait for response). Today (provide today’s date), you are authorizing Nationwide Credit, Inc. to originate a one-time ACH debit from your bank account in the amount of $___ and recurring payments in the amount of ___ on the ___ day of each (frequency). I will place you on a brief hold for a secondary verification. Do you have any questions before I transfer the call? (Wait for response)

Note: If the customer does not have the routing or account number then collector can provide previously used banking details i.e. the last four digits of the account number and/or routing number and bank name and get a confirmation from the customer.

Manager: Hello, this is [full name]. I will verify the payment information you agreed to with [collector’s name]. You are an authorized signor on the account, correct? (Wait for response) and the routing number you provided is XXXXXXXXX? (Wait for response) and your account number is XXXXXXXXX (wait for response)? Scripts for One-Time or Initial Payment- Full Bank Account Number Available

The following scripts must be used when setting up a one-time or initial payment:

Collector: Please confirm that you are an authorized signor on the account. (wait for response). May I have the name of your bank and type of account (checking / savings)? (wait for response). May I have the last four digits of the account (wait for response – if the Card Member does not provide the name of the bank and/or the last 4 digits of the existing account, the collector can release the name of the bank and the last 4 digits of the account already updated to the Customer only to verify the accuracy of the information). Today (provide today’s date), you are authorizing Nationwide Credit, Inc. to originate a one-time ACH debit from your bank account in the amount of $___. You may revoke this authorization by (insert method for revocation). I will place you on a brief hold for a secondary verification. Do you have any questions before I transfer the call? (Wait for response)”

Manager: “Hello, this is [full name]. I will verify the payment information you agreed to with [collector’s name]. You are an authorized signor on the account, correct? (wait for response) and your account number is XXXXXXXXX (wait for response)? Your authorization will be used to originate a one-time ACH debit in the amount of $___ today. Is that correct? Account Related Disclosures

UD Disclosure

American Express requires that I inform you that the law limits how long a debt can be reported to a consumer reporting agency. Because of the age of your debt, American Express cannot report it to a consumer reporting agency. Payment or non-payment of this debt will not affect your credit score.

OOS Disclosure

American Express requires that I inform you that the law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, American Express will not sue you for it.

UD/OOS

American Express requires that I inform you the law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, American Express will not sue you for it. In addition, the law limits how long a debt can be reported to a consumer reporting agency. Because of the age of your debt, American Express cannot report it to a consumer reporting agency. Payment or non-payment of this debt will not affect your credit score.

Additional Interest and Fees Disclosure

There is always a possibility that additional interest and fees could be assessed on your account after the last payment. If so, we will contact you to make arrangements for the payment of this portion after it is assessed.

Incentives Disclosures

Oasis Disclosure

After your payment has cleared, American Express will send you an application for an American Express Optima Card with a credit line of $ xxxx. You will need to fill out the form and send it to American Express within 30 days of the date on the letter. Your application will be approved unless you have filed for bankruptcy, have accepted an offer from another Agency or from American Express for another Optima Card account, have an existing open American Express account, or American Express determines that you do not have the financial capacity to make the minimum payment on the new Optima Card account. As required by federal regulation for any application when you apply, American Express will evaluate your ability to take on additional debt based on your income and other financial resources in relation to your debt obligations at the time. If you received this offer with respect to any of your other accounts, please note that American Express will only be able to approve one Optima Card application. If you submit multiple Optima Card applications, American Express will consider such applications in the order they are received.

Reinstatement

Paying off your American Express card in full will make you eligible to participate in a special program in which American Express re-instates your account. Not only do you have an opportunity to have your charge card re-instated, but your Membership Rewards points will re-instate and can be used for, among other things, airline and hotel awards. This offer is not made to every Card member, and it is approved on a very limited basis. First, I need to work out a payment arrangement with you to pay the balance in full for all the accounts that are in collections. As part of the arrangement, a payment must be made each month. Also, it is important for you to know that if you have any other American Express accounts that may be canceled and in collections, these balances must be paid in full as well. Speak today, we reach a payment agreement. Once your account is paid in full, and we confirm that any other American Express accounts you may have are adequately paid as well, your card will be re-instated under these terms: Your global limit will be (provide the Global Limit indicated in the Reinstatement Program window).
